Junior Infrastructure Engineer

My client based in Exeter is looking for a Junior Infrastructure Engineer to join their team and contribute toward the maintenance, administration and support of their core infrastructure alongside its associated services and environments.

As Junior Infrastructure Engineer your responsibilities will include:

• Assist with the design, operation and maintenance of the company's product platforms and supporting infrastructure
• Handle a variety of house-keeping and administrative tasks within the Infrastructure team
• Support the Infrastructure team during the development, implementation and administration of highly technical Cloud services and infrastructure
• Understand and help maintain CI/CD and all that it entails
• Provide triage support function within the infrastructure team
• Learn and develop skill set

Skills and Experience required:

• Willingness and capacity to learn new technologies
• A good understanding of networking principles
• Knowledge of Linux operation systems
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Excellent problem solving abilities
• DESIRABLE:
  • 1 year+ AWS experience
  • Any Linux accreditation
  • Other related AWS accreditations
