Quality Manager, Doncaster, Salary up to GBP40,000, could go higher depending on experience.
Our client is an award winning, hugely successful company with ambitious plans for growth who are now looking to appoint a Quality Manager to provide clear leadership for the development of an environment focused on Quality.
The role is to develop quality processes in line with the quality management system and supplier quality assurance processes and oversee continued compliance and embedding across the business. It is also responsible for maintaining relationships with customers and suppliers and developing and managing the audit programme as well as supplier development and improvement.
The role;
* Implementing all relevant procedures in the Quality Management System and ensuring compliance
* Ensuring that all in-house systems and procedures are updated, revised and modified to meet the needs of external certification bodies
* Responding to customer complaints putting in containment actions, full analysis, poka-yokes (error proofing), and implementing short-term and long-term countermeasures
* Championing a program for the implementation and sustainment of a continuous improvement culture
* Point of contact for warranty issues
* Preparing records and submitting warranty claims.
* Ensuring that all necessary systems and procedures are in place to satisfy all customer requirements and audits
* Undertaking internal and process audits of the Quality Management System
* Management of the Quality Engineers/Inspectors in the sign-off and the resolution of internal/external quality concerns
* Reporting against agreed quality metrics on a monthly basis
* Leading regular inspection meetings with representatives from appropriate departments to establish an action plan for improving quality
* Undertaking continuous training and development
* Performing root cause analysis and resolving problems
* Developing, implementing and managing key performance indicators
* Financial and Budget Control
* Liaising with suppliers to resolve quality issues
You;
* Experience in quality management within a highly regulated manufacturing environment
* A self-starter, motivated and able to positively motivate others
* Focused, target driven with a positive, can-do attitude
* Excellent leadership and management skills
* Ability to manage a variety of cross-functional team members
* Six Sigma/Lean Manufacturing skills ideal
* Experience of dealing with customers and suppliers
