The Company
Able Bridge Recruitment are excited to be working in collaboration with one of Scotland's most prestigious food manufacturers. Due to a period of maternity, and a separate internal move, two management accounting positions have become available with our client.
The Responsibilities
The roles will be based in Bellshill and will be accountable to both the operations site director along with the director of finance. The purpose of the role is to provide comprehensive, accurate and detailed financial insight into specific operations/lines of the business.
The role will incorporate, but are not restricted to the following duties:
Production of management accounts on a product by product basis including
Manufacturing cost reporting / Margin analysis
Stock control/inventory management
Stock wastage reporting & subsequent cost/margin impact
Production of down time reports to review efficiencies
Production of cost reports/financial reporting of potential new product lines;
Balance sheet review and substantiation to ensure all liabilities are appropriately identified
Cost centre management including intercompany transactions and cost centre reconciliations
Ensure that all transactional costs are accurately reflected on P&L/Balance sheet.
The Requirements
Our client is seeking two candidates who have a proven track record of working in a cost accounting/management accounting capacity within an FMCG business (ideally ambient or perishable products). Ideally you will be either ACCA/CIMA qualified or be nearly qualified. Our client has expressed that they would consider an individual who is not formally qualified, however they would need to be able to justify their suitability over a qualified applicant.
This is a role where producing information for senior finance stakeholders is paramount and as such applicants are required to work under pressure of strict timetables as well as having exceptional accounting acumen.
