RUSHTON FUTURES

ROYAL SCHOOL FOR THE BLIND CHARITY LIVERPOOL

The Royal School for the Blind Charity, Liverpool operates two divisions- a non-maintained school and adult social care setting.

The adult social care setting, known as Rushton Futures, offers person-centred outcome driven day placements for young adults described as having complex needs. A registered service on Liverpool City Councils approved provider list, Rushton Futures aim is to support service users in their transition into adulthood, meeting the necessary outcomes identified for quality care. Our values are that we that we care, we collaborate and we champion.

Due to our success we are continually increasing our numbers of service users and we are now seeking to expand our workforce with a number of Key Worker posts.

Key Workers (multiple posts)

Salary: NJC Scale Point 2-4 (currently £18,198 - £18,933) plus an additional allowance of £1324 per annum

Location: Church Road North, Wavertree, Liverpool L15 6TQ

Contract type: Full time, 37 hours per week. We may consider part time for some of these roles where appropriate.

Contract term: Permanent

We are seeking suitable candidates who have a caring, warm nature, are outgoing, and non-judgmental with an ability to work as part of a team. Although not essential, we are looking for candidates who have experience as a carer, preferably having worked alongside young people who are described as having complex needs. More importantly we are looking for individuals who mirror the values of Rushton Futures and who hold the competencies needed to provide outstanding support to our service users. Ideally you should be qualified to NVQ Level 2 (or above) in Health and Social Care, but if not, willing to work toward this. All relevant training will be given.
