Operations Manager GBP40-42k per year, based on the outskirts of Derby
We looking for an experienced operations manager to become part of the senior management team, with the day-to-day general management of a rubber moulding manufacturing facility and with a real focus on continuous improvement.
You will have the autonomy to develop and enhance the manufacturing structure to assist with the process improvements as they continue to strive for excellence.
So as the Operations Manager what will you be doing ?
We are looking for a candidate with considerable managerial experience who can allocate both human and material resources efficiently, communicate with all areas of the business to help drive performance and ensure customer satisfaction.
You will be required to supervise and direct the technical personnel responsible for every stage of production to ensure manufacture of high quality and cost-effective product.
You will need to have a strong understanding of the supply chain process.
You will be someone who will ensure production capacity is maximised at all times.
You will need to be a strong leader who understands that employees are a valuable resource and can effectively communicate with operations staff with evidence on any shortfalls in performance.
You will be confident in analysing data to ensure the operations staff are operating at an excellent level in terms of production output and quality levels to meet our required target.
You will have had experience in carrying out effective performance and development reviews, driving continuous improvement.
We are seeking someone who has a proven track record of setting and meeting ambitious goals within a manufacturing setting.

3+ years operations experience within manufacturing
Excellent time management skills
Assertive in managing a mixed workforce
Experience of working within the quality requirements of ISO9001, and assist with the implementation and compliance with the Health and Safety standard ISO45001 standard would be advantageous
Excellent communication skills
Good analytical and reporting skills
Flexible and stress resistant personality
Professional with the ability to maintain confidentiality
Strong observation skills
