We are currently recruiting for an FP&A Analyst on behalf of our client, a leading UK Manufacturer of consumer goods based in Derbyshire.

They are in the process of an IPO exploration and require an experienced Analyst to provide senior management with the financial analysis and information they need to make major operational, financial, and strategic decisions.

Our client ideally requires an individual who would is keen to branch out into industry after successful exploration within a consultancy.

Responsibilities

Assisting with running the annual budgeting process and producing regular forecasts that show the expected future performance of the business, analysing business trends and past results, advising on how company performance can be improved and explore potential growth scenarios.

Regular interaction with the senior leadership team, reporting being a key element. Comparing actuals against plan, updating forecasts to reflect actual performance, and informing management on the progress of the company's strategic plans.

Duties:

Liaising with senior management to prepare the business's financial and strategic plans.
Working with Business Unit heads to build their annual budgets and forecasts, consolidating them into one overall budget.
Analysing financial and operational results to better understand company performance.
Preparing competitor analysis, market trends and associated commentary to senior management
Provide detailed analysis and commentary on Business Unit results
Creating financial models to project long term growth & determine the impacting business factors.
Comparing and evaluating previous budgets and forecasts and performing variance analysis to explain differences in performance and make improvements going forward.
Evaluating whether the company's current assets and investments are the best use of the company's excess working capital.Skills required

Qualified Accountant - preferably chartered
Listed experience - preferably had prior involvement in an IPO, including WC forecasts, FPPP.
Comfortable and used to contributing to meetings with advisors and directors - previous WC forecast and LFR exposure would be ideal.
Firm grasp on financial accounting and forecasting.
Able to devise, review and compile consolidated financial reports.
History of rapid integration into a team.
Initiative to support in the delivery of business requirements and objectives.
Very detail driven.
Expert user in Excel.Person Specification
