Caretaker / Handyperson
Salary scale: Negotiable dependent on experience
Contract Type: Part Time (35hrs/week, 12pm-7pm) / Job Share considered
We are seeking to appoint a conscientious school Caretaker/Handyperson who will become a valued member of our school team. The role of the Caretaker/Handyperson is a critical operational role in the efficient functioning of the school and is a year-round job; it is not term-time only and involves working as normal during the school holidays.
Mounts Bay Academy is a caring and dynamic Academy where students are placed at the centre of everything we do. We are looking to employ someone who is reliable and trustworthy to fit in with our school ethos, who will be responsible for the security of the school premises. A basic knowledge of health and safety is essential. Applicants need to be able to carry out minor repairs, maintenance and improvements to the school buildings, equipment and grounds. An ability to use basic ICT would be an advantage. The successful candidate will also be responsible for keeping the site clean and tidy, providing a safe space for the students and staff.
