Description
On a daily basis the successful Warehouse Despatch Supervisor will report into the Site Manager, leading the operation throughout the day shift. You will also have responsibility for the following areas:
Daily management of 5+ operatives
System admin and supplier monitoring (using Excel and WMS)
Maintain accurate stock records on system/stock replenishment/stock counts
Be a hands-on member of the team and be on the shop floor to assist in loading/unloading containers/order picking /FLT duties
To provide regular reporting on stock and stock availability in line with demand and recommend action
To support stores team with monthly and periodic cycle counting
To print and distribute manifests to the team
Day to day adherence to health and safety policy and procedures
Warehouse Despatch Supervisor hours of works for this role will be (or similar):
Monday to Friday - 7am to 5pm
Profile
The successful candidate for the Warehouse Despatch Supervisor position will have the following skills and experiences:
A Logistics Distribution and Supply Chain background
Have managed 5+ people previously in a Warehouse / Distribution environment.
Have 2+ years of people management experience.
IOSH Certified (desirable - not essential)
Have worked within a Fast-paced/demanding environment previously
Be open to Continuous Improvement and Change Management ideas in an ever-changing business unit
Have a proven track record in people management, people development and performance management with tangible examples
Be commutable to March, Wisbech, Chatteris location
The successful candidate may have worked within a Warehouse Senior Team Lead, Operations Manager, Warehouse Supervisor, Warehouse Shift Manager, Shift Manager role previously.

On occasion work a Saturday in busy times - overtime is paid at time and a half
