Unitemps are excited to be working closely with one of the region's leading firm of accountants in recruiting a Graduate Trainee Accountant on a permanent basis. This is a fantastic opportunity and starting point for an Accountancy graduate to utilise an impressive study support package and kick start their career within the sector.
This opportunity is open to Graduates who are within a commutable distance of Newcastle-Under-Lyme and Stoke-on-Trent. The role is permanent paying between GBP17,500 and GBP19,500 plus well-rounded, in depth training opportunity for those who want to gain the ACA/ACCA qualification via a study support scheme.
Duties and responsibilities
* Provide accounting and tax support to multiple clients in an accurate and timely manner.
* Be the first point of contact for clients, dealing with queries and providing a high level of customer service.
* Dealing with client queries on a daily basis.
* The understanding, preparation and reconciliation of accounts.
* Communication with clients on taxes, expenses, dividends and other duties.
* Understand and communicate HMRC deadlines for VAT/PAYE/ Corporation tax and income tax.
* Grasp current systems and processes to an extent where you feel comfortable suggesting improvements
Skills and experience
* The capacity to work in a fast paced environment
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with both the internal team and our clients
* Exceptional attention to detail
* Good IT skills, in particular Excel
* The intrinsic motivation to succeed
* Strong teamwork skills
* Demonstrable interest in accountancy as a career.
