Project Accountant (6 Months Temp to Perm)

GBP30,000 - GBP35,000
Axon Moore currently have an urgent requirement for a Project Accountant in a growing Shared Service Centre in Eccles.
The primary function of the role is to support the transition of accounting tasks/processes into the service centre, ensuring that work is moved with minimal disruption to the business groups and external teams. As part of this role you will be expected to work with remote sites, document the current process, pick up the operational work, and setup and run the new process within the service centre.
Your role will start off by transitioning Account Payable processes. Further work cycles are likely to include Accounts Receivable, General Accounting and Payroll. If you have previous experience of working in an SSC, process improvement, and excellent excel skills this could be the role for you.
Key Responsibilities Include:
Manage the transition of "work packets" from each doner site, ensuring a full understanding of the current process, documentation, uplift of the work, movement and running of the accounting transactions during the stabilisation period and transition into the permanent operations.
Operation of accounting processes as required by the Service Centre Manager - which may include Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, General Accounting and Payroll.
Cross training of staff for transferred processes.
Communication with stakeholders during the change, ensuring that the operational business is well informed on the timing, scope, and support requirements of changes. Communications would be needed both with internal departments and in some cases with external suppliers or customers.
Work with operational business customers to address process failing and errors within the business process, systems, or issues within the Service Centre.
As required provide project updates and deliver key metrics to support the centre.
