Catering Manager

The Role :
Our client is looking for an enthusiastic and well-qualified Catering Manager to join their dynamic school from August 2021. The successful applicant will be responsible for managing their brand new Caf?? plus additional snack facilities. You will be responsible for 2x catering assistants, food provision and Health and safety, ensuring the highest standard of customer service and best value of merchandise.
About the Role:
• Responsible for the day to day catering operations and services
• Implement improvements to comply with current legislation and be aware of quality standard and performance measures
• Management and training of catering team
• Monitor Food quality control
• Liaise with catering companies
• Daily lunchtime till duty and break time cover
• Manage parent pay admin, including daily emails to parents regarding overdrawn accounts
• Co-Ordinate menus, food/drinks for special school events
About you
•Food Safety Level 3 Minimum or ability to secure this qualification
•Hygiene Certificate or secured once in post
•Relevant management experience in the catering industry
•Knowledge of school catering
•Experience of managing COSHH
•Experience of menu design and food innovation
•Experience of food costing and budgetary controls
•Can use a range of ICT packages -e.g Microsoft office, excel
