Laila's Fine Foods are a successful, family run manufacturer of chilled and frozen ready meals for the UK retail and foodservice sectors. Having recently spent over GBP7m on a state of the art factory extension that has taken our production from 40 tonnes to 60 tonnes per day we are looking to add a first-class Purchasing Assistant to our team - strong administrative skills are essential.
The Opportunity
If you hold valid Reach and Counterbalance Forklift Truck licences, apply today and work as a Forklift Truck Driver for a busy food production site.
We are recruiting for a Forklift Truck Driver to work in our warehouse in Bispham.
As a Forklift Truck Driver at this site, your duties will include:
- Loading and unloading of wagons, issuing of raw materials and packaging to the shop floor to ensure all lines are kept running and general housekeeping of the warehouse and yard
- Carrying out the intake of raw materials and packaging, liaising with the Technical and Purchasing departments to ensure conformance to specifications
- Loading finished goods onto vehicles in a safe and manner with most economical usage of space
- Ensuring that all raw materials and packaging are receipted accurately and are stored and allocated to production in the correct rotation and are in-line with material intake procedures
- Maintain material stock rotation and segregation of allergens
- Report any issues with RM quality or shelf life identified on stock counts
Person Requirement
Our ideal Forklift Truck Driver holds a valid Forklift Truck licence, including Reach and Counterbalance.
You should be computer literate and have a good understanding of both Food Hygiene and Health & Safety.
Forklift Truck Drivers can work under pressure to tight guidelines and communicate well with others.

- Shifts, one week 07:00 - 15:00 Monday - Saturday, the following week 15:00 - Finish Monday - Friday
