Slimming World is the UK’s leading weight management organisation, helping members lose weight in our 18,000 weekly groups around the UK and Ireland and online through our digital programme.

Our Writing team work closely with our in-house Video, Training and Design teams to bring our expertise and key messages to life in an impactful and memorable way. This includes delivering the unmatched service we promise our members, and to the Consultants who run our groups.

We’re currently recruiting two experienced, talented and enthusiastic Writers to join our team. You’ll write inspiring, motivating and high impact multi-channel communications for our members, Field-based Consultants and head office teams using a variety of media such as our monthly internal magazine, leaflets, emails and letters. Our ideal candidates will therefore have a natural flair for creating excitement, passion and engagement through brilliant writing; while carefully considering the tone, language and depth of knowledge used to suit specific audiences. 

Most crucially you’ll be a team player with a dazzling can-do attitude and a deep desire to learn about every aspect of our business. You’ll show an understanding of the work we do to touch hearts and change lives, with a drive to help us help many more people lead a happier and healthier life. We’d really love to hear from you if you can also:

• communicate in a warm, effective and dynamic way (with a dash of humour where appropriate!)
• put yourself in the shoes of our members and Consultants to write with empathy, kindness and understanding
• be confident in creating and seeing through effective communication plans, considering how, when and on what channels messages are shared
• demonstrate excellent organisational, self-editing and proof-reading skills 
• confidently liaise with Slimming World’s internal teams, Consultants, managers and Directors
