Hayley Group is the largest independent distributor of engineering products and consumables in the United Kingdom. The group currently employs over 900 people across a network of 47 branches across the UK.

We are currently seeking an Administration Assistant to join the ever-growing, fast-paced team at their Hayley Nuclear Derby branch. The ideal candidate must be motivated, confident and have a passion for organisation.

Job Title: Administration Assistant

Location: Hayley Nuclear, Derby

Working Hours: Mon - Fri 8.30am - 5.00 pm. Additional working hours may be required during busy periods.

Salary: Will be negotiable depending on experience

Roles & responsibilities:

* Producing reports and trackers on Excel and Smartsheets

* Processing invoices using bespoke systems

* Filing/scanning/photocopying and maintaining a comprehensive filing system

* Assisting the Business Support Manager in day-to-day activities

* Data inputting

* Dealing with and responding to emails

* General office administration

* IT skills and a sound knowledge of all Microsoft Office packages

* Logging returns and repairs

* Creating process maps and standard operating procedures/how-to guides

* Taking minutes from management meetings

* Undertake ad-hoc work in other areas as required

Knowledge & Skills requirements:

* Applicants must be computer literature, with experience in using a variety of software packages, such as the Microsoft and Google Suites

* Experience in using Excel is essential

* Previous administration experience preferred

* Confident demeanour

* Excellent organisational and communication skills

* Ability to work effectively under pressure

* Ability to work flexibly, on own initiative and as a member of a team

* Willingness to learn new technology and applications (full training will be given)

* Ability to juggle tasks and prioritise work

* High degree of accuracy with attention to detail

* Time management and organisational skills

There is space to evolve this role to include support with KPIs and Management Information amongst other projects.
