We have an exciting new vacancy for the role of QA coordinator within the manufacturing industry based on the out skirts of Scunthorpe.
Job Description

MAIN PURPOSE AND SCOPE OF THE JOB
To Support the QA Manager in retaining BRC & ISO9001 accreditations whilst ensuring the company provides an exceptional quality product to its customers.

Reports To:QA Manager/Operations Manager

DUTIES AND KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Ensure all internal non-conforming products are rechecked/retested PAS29.
CCP control monitoring.

Print labels and ensure they meet requirements prior to printing.

Be able to make objective decision based on information/facts provided.
(acceptable/unacceptable product).

Conduct personal hygiene audits.

Active HACCP team member.

Finished goods weight checks.

Issue production paperwork in line with the production plan on a daily basis.

Ensure all production paperwork is completed correctly, perform random production paperwork audits. (SOP - Stating when, how and frequency)

Ensure products are stacked correctly on pallets and perform finished goods checks. (SOP - When, how, frequency, products to be checked)

Ensure all issues/problems are communicated to QA Manager

Monitor and ensure that finished product is well packaged and labelled.

Attend new product introductions on hot end; ensure pallet build is in line with customer specification and transport can be used cost efficiently.

Assist /supervise incoming goods in case of any quality issues arising, pre-production and production samples.

Make decisions on matters that impact product quality such as stopping the lines to wash conveyors. (In cooperation with Production Supervisor)

You will also be required to undertake any other duties as reasonably required by the Company from time to time to meet the needs of the business.
This may include covering of the QA Manager through holiday or sickness periods.

SUPPORTING DUTIES

Assist in the maintenance of non-conformance/customer complaint databases.
Handle and resolve customer complaints via phone and email in line with internal standards as when required.
Analysing and preparing product and process quality reports, summarising information, and making recommendations.
Completing the daily schedule of line checks across all lines. I
Assist in the maintenance of all required records e.g. specifications & SOP's.
Positively represent the Company with external organisations, customers, and suppliers.

Personal Profile:

Experience in Quality Assurance/Control in Manufacturing environment is essential.
Organised, methodical and able to work effectively to deadlines.
Experienced Internal Quality and/or Environmental Auditor desirable.
Experience of working within ISO9001/BRC and/or other recognised quality management systems is essential.
Excellent attention to detail.
Computer literate, experience and working knowledge of Microsoft package such as Word and Excel are essential.
Able to work with minimal supervision and under own initiative.
Able to communicate effectively and articulately, both verbally and in writing.
Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
Customer focused.
Team Player.

The working hours are Monday - Friday 12pm-8pm ,flexible when required. Training will be 9am-5pm with the QA manager, then moved onto the late shift on completion.
