Care Practitioner - Calvern Care Ltd Domiciliary Care Service

We are looking to recruit  Care Practitioners to expand the capacity within our team and broaden our geography.

Main Duties of the Job

The service we provide could be complex and could involve a programme of personal care and household management that is personalised in the form of a care plan. Care duties will include assisting service users in a variety of tasks which are specific to each person and could include some of the following;

  • Assisting with dressing and undressing
  • Assisting with washing / bathing / showering / shaving /  cleaning teeth.
  • Hair care .
  • Nail care .
  • Toileting and all aspects of personal hygiene.
  • Continence management.
  • Pressure area care
  • Getting into and out of bed.
  • Assisting with the use of Aids to Daily Living / Rehabilitation Aids, as required.
  •  Prompting the service user to take  medication.
  • Cooking and preparation of meals and snacks 
  • Assisting with feeding.
  • General cleaning duties.
  • Bed-making.
  • Laundering / Ironing
  • Preparation of shopping lists & shopping.
  • Working with other care professionals.
  • Using manual handling equipment when and as instructed.
  • Care at end of life
