PCB Assembler
Role: PCB Assembler
Location: Willenhall
Hours of work: 08:00 - 16:30 Monday - Thursday / 08:00 - 14:00 Friday
Pay Rate: GBP9.00 - GBP9.50 Per hour
Mainstay Recruitment are currently seeking experienced PCB Assemblers for a well-established electrical specialist in Willenhall. As a PCB assembler, you will be required to perform the assembly of PCB's and associated sub-assemblies which include wiring and mechanical fixing of final box builds.
Duties of the role:
* Receiving production orders, reviewing samples and job specifications to determine assembly procedures.
* Review's component lists and kits parts from stores according to paperwork.
* Performs electrical and mechanical assembly when required assembling components to PCB sometimes using a cropmatic plate to trim PCB leads prior to soldering. Assembly is done by following drawings, samples or both.
* Hand solders parts onto PCB ensuring correct fitting of parts prior to this operation. If PCB is machine soldered, then areas of PCB are masked off prior to assembly on crop plate.
* Cleaning of PCB if required on work instruction with solvent spray or readies PCB for machine washing.
* Use hand tools such as screwdriver, nut spinner, spanners to assemble subassemblies prior to fitting these to the PCB. Occasional wiring of looms using crimp tools or soldering of wires to PCB
* Inspection of joints made after flow soldering and reworking where necessary. Also checks of top side of PCB for component presence, correct insertion, orientation and flatness.
* Maintains clean and orderly work area. Puts parts back in stock after completion of batch.
* Assembly of completed PCB into enclosures which includes wiring and mechanical fixing.
* Test basic function of PCB when required under supervision.
* When required uses flow soldering machine to solder volume PCB.
* Using correct program and ensures quality of soldering that takes place.
* Use of ESD precautions is required which involves use of wrist straps and ESD overalls.

* Previous PCB Assembly experience
* Able to read and follow drawings
* Experience of soldering
* Reliable
* Solid work history
