An opportunity has arisen within our Business Fire Safety team for a Training Coordinator, based at the Training and Development Centre, Sheffield.

The overall purpose of the role will be to manage, prepare, plan and deliver the provision of fire safety training for SYFR Business Fire Safety Inspectors and Operational staff, to ensure they acquire and maintain competency at all levels.

To be considered for this role you will have previous experience of delivering training to a variety of groups, using a range of methods such as Zoom, e-learning, webinar and face-to-face training. You should have a good working knowledge of fire safety Statues, codes of practice, and be able to interpret, translate and communicate complex and technical information into effective and informative training courses.

You must possess the Level 4 Fire Safety Diploma and be willing to work towards the Awarding, Education and Training Level 3 (AET). You must also have the Advanced Professional Certificate in Investigative Practices, as well as NEBOSH Fire Safety and Risk Management.

The key duties will include managing, organising and planning training for Business Fire Safety Inspecting Officers, to achieve the required qualifications using the relevant progression pathway. You will be responsible for developing and providing training relating to Petroleum Certification and Explosives Licensing, for relevant staff. In order for staff to maintain competence, your role will include arranging Continued Personal Development (CPD) for all staff on a regular basis.

You will also be responsible for the planning, organising and delivery of fire safety related training to Operational officers, as outlined in their progression pathway.
