Tool Maker
We are looking for a full time Tool maker in the wednesbury area for one of our local clients.
Maintenance and refurbishment of Tools, Jigs and Fixtures to ensure availability for production.
Relationships :
* Responsible to: Tool Room Cell Leader
* Responsible for : Apprentices when required and agreed
* Liaison with : Cell co-ordinators, Production Cell Leaders, Tool Setters, Quality Engineer, Account Managers, Works Manager and Manufacturing Director
Main Tasks of job :
Diagnosis of tooling faults using information supplied by Toolsetters and physical evidence existing
1. Repairs, maintenance as required.
2. Preparation of new tooling (as supplied by sub-contractors) for trials and for volume production.
3. Proving of new tools.
4. Occasional manufacture of new tooling, jigs and fixtures
To assist with the training and development of Toolmaker apprentices. Demonstrating and coaching of craft skills, machining techniques, measuring methods etc.
The above is not an exhaustive list of duties and the nominee will be expected to perform different tasks as necessitated by the changing role within the organization and overall objectives of the business.
