About the Job
Games Workshop specialises in manufacturing fantasy miniatures and selling them globally. Alongside our miniatures, we also sell the paints, glues and accessories our customers use to assemble and paint them. We have an opportunity for a person with a chemical regulatory specialist, formulations or technologist background to join our Product Safety and Integrity team.
This position is well suited to someone looking to gain experience of global markets and actively contribute to the company's compliance strategy.
As Product Safety & Assurance Advisor, you will be responsible for helping ensure we stay abreast of changing regulation around the world, and that our products are always compliant, packaged and labelled correctly, and backed by the correct documentation. To achieve this, you will work with our external advisors and your own know how, to translate regulatory requirements into practical action, and communicate this with the wider business.
Your core responsibilities will include:
* Monitoring new chemical regulations, and incorporating them into company requirements.
* Working with internal and external stakeholders to ensure products meet our requirements.
* Day to day management of our relationship with external chemical compliance advisors, reviewing and acting on their advice.
* Managing ongoing evaluation of chemical products.
* Assisting with the response to regulatory queries.
* Completing mandatory reporting data.
* Assisting as required in the ongoing development and management of the wider product range.
The ideal candidate will have:
* Proven experience of working in a similar role, ideally within a manufacturer or retailer of chemical products.
* Knowledge of chemical regulation in a major market. I.E: REACH, CLP in the EU, FHSA, LHAMA etc. in the US).
* Experience of communicating technical and regulatory requirements.
* Experience of handling regulator queries.
* A bachelor's degree (or equivalent qualification) in a related field is desirable.
* Experience presenting at executive level is also desirable.
Working at Games Workshop
At Games Workshop we are looking for people who will do their best to understand the needs of the company and to put those needs first when they are at work. Because of this we believe that what you are like, hence the attitude you show to work and the way you choose to behave is just as important as your skills and experience.
The Warhammer World site is based just outside of Nottingham city centre and benefits from a nearby tram stop and free onsite car parking.
In return for your hard work, you will receive 33 days holiday per year (including public holidays), matching contributory pension scheme up to 7.5%, profit share bonus (subject to GW meeting profit targets) and option to join our Share Save scheme. Oh and let's not forget, a staff discount of between 25% and 50% on our products!
