With ship sailing dates being firmed up we are looking to recruit an additional Crew Scheduler to work as part of the HR team. The role requires very strong organisational skills, being the key point of contact for staff during their pre-boarding, onboarding and repatriation process.
Key areas of responsibility:
Workforce Planning - weekly liaison with the Retail Operations team to plan staff rotations and maintain manning levels within budget fleet wide, including scheduling replacements for an emergency leave. Ensure ships have the appropriate balance of required specialist and language skills, experience, and nationalities within each team on board
Crew Mobilisation - schedule candidates into the pre-boarding and onboarding process, supporting joining crew in obtaining the necessary shipboard documentation as well as returning crew with future assignments. Work with external travel providers to co-ordinate global travel for shipboard teams.
Systems and Processes - ensure staffing rotations are accurate and up to date in the Scheduling/HRI system. You will update salary details, process expenses and run monthly payroll reports, as well as we monthly manning reports for external clients
Be prepared to work up to one weekend in four as part of a rotation to provide on-call emergency travel assistance
Candidate experience:
Ideally experienced in a Scheduling position from within an operational environment
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
Confidence with the ability to keep calm whilst working in a high-pressured environment
Confident communicator with a positive attitude
Be a positive influencer displaying enthusiasm and dedication
Ability to identify new processes and execute best practice
Ability to work in a fast-paced and team-oriented environment
Knowledge of MS Office with proficiency in Word and Excel
Experience of a Scheduling / HRI system (desirable)
