Training Manager Apprenticeships.
Advantage Group are proud to be supporting their client an Apprenticeship Levy Training Provider, whop are looking to recruit an experienced Training Manager to head up their team of Assessors and Trainers
As the Head of Training you will be responsible for leading the delivery and teaching teams to build and create a dominant player within vocational training sector.
By setting exemplary standards and demanding 100% compliance throughout, you will lead a team of Regional Training Managers, and Tutors to deliver a remarkable educational journey for learners and a remarkable service to our employers. You will also ensure that our provision significantly exceeds the compliance obligations of our funding partners (ESFA, LEPs, etc) and that our achievement rates far exceed industry standards.
You will also be responsible for ensuring that our client successfully applies for all available funding from the ESFA, LEPs or regional /city authorities, and take on the "Centre Manager" Position for engagement with Awarding Bodies.
Leadership
* Build a team of Regional Training Managers (RTMs) and tutors who can deliver a remarkable service, whilst ensuring that the company remains fully compliant with ESFA and Ofsted regulations.
* Lead the delivery team such that a remarkable learning experience is delivered to learners and a remarkable to service to employer customers by ensuring that tutor engagement with both learners and tutors is exceptional.
* Lead the RTMS team such that they inspire the assessing team to deliver against company KPIs.
* Actively support the career, personal development, and training of your team so that they are fully able to deliver a remarkable service.
* Working with the Head of Quality Assurance, develop and implement a professional development strategy for the Training Department to ensure that the analysis and prioritisation of training and development needs is in line with strategic objectives.
* Working with the Head of Quality Assurance, ensure effective annual staff development programmes are implemented and colleagues are supported to obtain relevant qualifications.
* Support RTMs to ensure that best practice is shared and disseminated throughout the delivery team.
* Work closely with RTMs to aid them in their own development.
* Collaborating with the Head of Quality Assurance ensure that Leadership and Management systems are maintained and ensure that Ofsted's Common Inspection Framework requirements are fulfilled, including managing colleagues' single central records.
* Provide regular one-to-one coaching to support any training gaps within your team.
* Provide day-to-day leadership assistance, direction and feedback to the team, setting the context, defining accountabilities and delegating tasks and assignments with accompanying deadlines.
* Establish and maintain a positive and effective management style in order to build an engaged and high-performance team.
* Support the development of performance goals and objectives for the team, monitoring and feeding back on progress on a regular basis and within formal performance reviews.
* Manage budgets for the Training department staff development, taking due account of standing financial instructions, to ensure that the resources of the teams are managed effectively and efficiently within budget limits.
* Managing absence and performance issues.
* Producing accurate and timely monthly payroll reports.
Results delivery
* Ensure that the delivery team achieve 80% overall completion rates by ensuring that tutors are provided with the necessary training, support and systems.
* Ensure overall "out of funding" learners never exceed 2%.
* Ensuring the Regional Training Managers (RTMs) monitor and manage assessor's caseloads to ensure they are kept at capacity, and where necessary provide support, so that tutors are able to meet the company targets for delivering qualifications, in-line with prescribed number of visits, and course duration.
* Work with the Head of Quality on improvements in teaching and learning in order to secure consistency in high quality assessing.
* Ensure the RTMs fully understand the need to achieve the target completion rates and are proactively supporting tutors and learners to achieve, by undertaking a learner by learner review on any learner who is more than 20% behind planned schedule.
* Actively ensuring we capitalise on funding from ESFA and actively applying for all additional funding that may become available, including from LEPs and Citys.
* Introduce creative and innovative, yet simple and less costly process and systems that assist the team in effective management of caseloads and administration.
* Support the Quality Assurance team in the production of the company SAR to ensure self-assessment grading is achieved and maintained at 'Good'.
* Actively lead the RTM progression meetings providing solutions to problems as well as innovative recommendations that will support company growth and profitability.
* Actively ensuring that all metrics issued by any funding bodies are consistently exceeded.
* Lead the delivery management team to ensure that the company always exceed awarding body, regulatory body and funding organisation requirements and consistently achieve an exemplary grade.
* Ensuring that all teams fully comply with all funding requirements, and there are zero funding compliance issues.
* Implement effective systems so that tutors identify and recruit their own learners to maintain their capacity at >80%
