Technical Support Engineer - Swindon - cGBP50,000 pa
A leading pharmaceutical manufacturing organisation is seeking a Technical Support Engineer to join their team on a permanent basis at their site in Swindon.
The core function of the role will be to provide technical engineering support to generate project strategies, working autonomously to deliver project plans for all engineering activities. This will include offering expertise and steering new product introductions on engineering topics as well as offering guidance to the engineering maintenance team in problem solving associated with site wide utilities including purified water, steam, calibrated equipment etc.
Other responsibilities include managing site and corporate KPI measures and offering guidance and support to a small team of engineers, to ensure compliance with site wide preventative maintenance schedules. The successful Technical Support Engineer will also be directly responsible for ensuring cGMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) is applied in a controlled environment, complying with site SOPs in all areas of the business.
To be considered, candidates will need to hold a relevant Engineering Degree or equivalent (Mechanical, Electrical / Controls, Chemical etc.) and as such have cGMP experience from a pharmaceutical, FMCG / Food, Chemical manufacturer. The successful Technical Engineer must also have a strong working knowledge of Black or Clean utilities equipment such as HVAC, Clean Steam, Vessels, Compressed Air, Pumps, liquid baths, drying rooms etc.
It would be advantageous to have experience in any of the following areas: sterile manufacturing, fill/finish environment, Microsoft Project, Autoclave, change control, change management, change requests, hands on proactive troubleshooting.
