This role is a permanent position, 37 hours per week, based in their Derby offices but also with remote access.

Description
Assisting the Company Secretary in planning meeting dates, venues and travel associated with Boards and Committees, planning and drafting agendas, and ensuring timely and accurate distribution of papers to Board Members and Invitees.
Attending Board and Committee meetings to take minutes as and when required and ensuring a timely distribution thereafter.
Acting as liaison for the Chairs and a contact point for other Board Members.
Assisting with Trustee induction and training and maintaining up to date details for all Trustees
Liaising with report producers to ensure timely production of Board and Committee papers
Assist in maintaining and updating statutory records
Preparation and filing of documents with Companies House and the Charity Commission.
Assist in maintain an effective and efficient flow of information between the Board and the Executive Leadership Team.
Ensuring the Company Secretary's demanding workload is appropriately prioritised and all deadlines are met.
Undertaking research for the Company Secretary and Board Committees
Carrying out ad hoc projects, researching and preparing appropriate reports or presentations independently
Appropriately handling correspondence and documentation for the Company Secretary including financial report and documents of a sensitive or confidential nature
Maintaining a high level of confidentiality at all times throughout, assisting and advising the Company secretary and Board Members.
Taking the initiative in both reactive and proactive scenarios, to address the challenging and unpredictable matters which arise within the Company Secretariat function.
Providing support to other staff in the CEO's and Company Secretary offices during busy periods or as required.
Profile
Ideally a candidate from another charitable organisation or from an NHS Trust, or membership organisation.
Job Offer
GBP25960 rising to roughly GBP28,500 after successful 6 month probation
28 days holiday including bank holidays
