My client are currently looking for a bright and switched on Financial Assistant to join their team. The company are full of dynamic and forward thinking people, and they are looking for a likeminded candidate to come in and really hit the ground running! Training will be provided for candidates with lesser experience.
Are you a Finance Assistant with over 2 years' experience?
Do you have experience within the FMCG industry?
Are you competent with transactional accounting?
If so this could be the role for you!
Role responsibilities:
* Sales ledger invoice entry
* Sales receipt entry
* Ensure allocation of receipts against the related sales invoice and follow up any discrepancies or unmatched entries
* Ensure credit control activities are maintained through the strict application of credit limits, weekly statement issue and follow-up with overdue items
* Purchase ledger invoice entry including the reconciliation to purchase order, goods received delivery notes (as applicable) and related documentation
* Analyse payments made through the company credit card accounts and amazon account and prepare posting entry
* Analyse payments made through petty cash and prepare the posting entry
* Cover for the FM in their absence.
* Process the daily book-keeping tasks to ensure the financial records are complete and up to date at all times within the accounting system (currently Sage 200)
* Participation in the regular credit control activities, such as the weekly issuing statements and follow up of late/overdue receipts
* Other ad hoc tasks as required
Skills and experience needed:
* A minimum of 2 years' previous experience within a similar role
* Strong Excel skills including VLook up's and Pivot Tables
* Ideally experience within a FMCG environment
* Flexible working attitude
* Strong written and verbal communication skills
