We are working with a prestigious city-centre client to recruit a Digital Marketing and Events Assistant to join a friendly and professional team. Working in the education sector the Digital Marketing and Events Assistant will support the Marketing and Communications Manager to deliver successful advertising and social media campaigns, as well as a range of events. This is a great opportunity for a creative and dynamic Marketing Assistant to progress their career in a busy, varied and rewarding opportunity.
The role:
* To implement the social media strategy across all platforms including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and LinkedIn.
* To actively engage with online communities positively and appropriately, researching information and producing engaging copy for use on social media.
* Monitoring trends in social media tools, reporting on data and bringing forward new ideas and initiatives.
* Liaising with creative agencies about advertising campaigns.
* Updating the website with images and content.
* To arrange and help to deliver a range of events, including speakers, fundraisers and networking events.
* Supporting the organisation's relationships with a range of communication activities including newsletters and bulletins.
Skills and experience:
* A proven track record in social media marketing.
* Website content management experience.
* Experience of managing a range of events.
* Experience of working with creative agencies, printers and suppliers.
* Creative with excellent writing, editing, and proof-reading skills.
* Must be highly competent using Wordpress, InDesign and Photoshop as well as MS Office.
* Ideally you will have an understanding of the education sector.

This position is term-time only plus 5 weeks during academic holidays. Attendance at events which may sometimes be outside of normal working hours will also be required.
Monday to Friday 8-4.30
4 weeks holiday plus Bank Holidays.
City centre location.
