A successful, consumer brand based outside of Chester is recruiting a Product Manager (NPD) to join their product team. Applicants must have experience of working in a similar product manager role ideally within a consumer goods environment, team management is also required.. Key Duties:

* Be able to manage the whole NPD (New Product Development) process from initial brief to completion within deadlines and to budget

* Successfully own, lead, and deliver the new product portfolio in terms of quality, time, and cost

* Be creative and an innovative thinker, both within product ideas and project delivery

* Accountable for translating new product requirements into tangible deliverables guided by global process

* Present product concept ideas to key stakeholders, professionally and confidently

* Be able to work on multiple projects at once, yet is willing and successful in taking moderate risk

* Introduce change where needed, driving local improvement and best practice

* Leads by example in using fact-based decision making, achieving timely consensus within the team, whilst avoiding over-analysis

* Risk management and mitigation within active projects, reporting at appropriate time to key stakeholders

* Supporting projects with product enhancements & efficiency improvements (Engineering & Manufacturing)

* Challenge project teams to achieve innovative solutions

Skills Required:

* Educated to A' level/Degree level

* Extensive NPD Product Management experience (ideally within Consumer Goods) is essential

* Must have recent experience of working in a product manager role

* Able to demonstrate taking a product from initial brief to completion

* New product development experience is essential

* Business systems knowledge (Mondaycom or MS Project, Sharepoint/Project Online, MS Office) preferred

* Team management experience

* Working knowledge of NPD stage-gate processes would be advantageous

* Good interpersonal skills, ability to build trust with stakeholders and cross functional team

* Must be a good communicator and have the ability to deliver results through others

Salary GBP35k basic + Bonus, flexi hours (home working) tbc, 22 days holiday + bank holidays, pension
