About Our Client

With over 20 years in the technology sector, our client prides itself on being one of the largest in its field and due to continued growth, they are now on the lookout for a Training & HR Specialist to join their HR Team

The HR & Training function is responsible for supporting the business in the achievement of its overall strategy and objectives through the effective recruitment, management, development and retention of motivated, high performing and skilled employees.

Based in the scenic Cams Hall Estate in Fareham, this role will be office based with the ability to work remotely 1-2 days a week in line with the Remote Working Policy.

About the Role:

The key purpose of the Training & HR Specialist role is to work closely with the HR Business Partner to define, understand and manage the training requirements of the business and deliver soft skills and end user training to the wider business. To help build effective organisational and people capabilities, aligned with the strategic goals of the business, to ensure a trained and competent workforce. In addition, to provide additional HR support as required. Further responsibilities and primary accountabilities are as follows:

Agree and manage the Annual Training Budget in conjunction with the HR Business Partner
Adhere to Process Management ISO9001, ISO27001 and ISO20000 compliance guidelines
Understand, and define internal learning and development needs in line with internal stakeholders
Ensure internal training needs and records are kept up to date in line with internal stakeholders
Coordinating and executing of defined training plans making recommendations on appropriate content, delivery methods, providers and venues to maximise return on investment
Promote a culture and suitable framework for the ownership of own learning and maximise personal development opportunities
Responsible for the planning and delivery of training within the business both face to face, online or e-learning
Work closely with the Product Team to ensure all strategic vendor training is delivered
Internal management of internal online learning tool and other relevant training systems
Ensure the training function fulfils its obligations and passes audits for required business accreditations

HR Support:

To provide support to the HR Business Partner with tasks and activities as required
To provide HR Support and advice to line managers and employees as a deputy to the HR Business Partner

Our Ideal Training & HR Specialist

Our client is seeking a proven L&D or HR professional who is comfortable with technology. Being a highly motivated, self-starter individual with the ability to communicate at all levels along with a high level of integrity is a must. Other skills and attributes are as follows:

Superb relationship builder
Excellent time management and organisational skills
Ability to identify problems and resolve accordingly in a calm and collected manner
CIPD Qualified, or working towards, or equivalent experience in L&D or HR
GCSE Maths and English, grade A-C or Level 5+ (or equivalent)
2+ years' experience in an L&D or HR role
Experience of delivering soft skills and or end user IT training
Understanding and experience of designing, implementing and evaluating training solutions and managing their execution
Experience in facilitating and delivering training sessions
Basic understanding of UK employment law, GDPR and data protection laws
An understanding and belief in the merits of cloud computing

Desirable

Experience of working in a similar role
Experience of working in the IT business or Technology sector
Experience in the accreditation process with Microsoft
SHL Ability testing to Level B or higher
Up to date knowledge of UK Employment law
