You will us on a full time, permanent basis and in return you will receive a competitive salary.

About the Senior Technical Manager role:

Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, the Senior Technical Manager will have overall responsibility for the technical elements of the P2O plants and will have the following qualifications. You will have a team of operating, maintenance and engineering staff, supporting you in the day-to-day management and operation of a state-of-the-art large scale waste plastic to oil facility. The successful candidate will need to ensure that the plant runs efficiently and meets compliance with relevant standards.

Key responsibilities of our Senior Technical Manager:

- Providing overall technical direction and control for PDU operations

- Role of Senior Authorized Person for the Mechanical, Chemical and Process elements of the business

- Overall responsibility for the safe and efficient operation of the Plastic-to-Oil process plant

- Providing direction and support to the Operations Manager and indirectly to the Plant Operations Team so that all project work is carried out efficiently, effectively, to a high technical standard, in line with the agreed project plan and profitability target and to the satisfaction of the client

- To proactively develop the level of expertise within the team so that the team is technically and managerially superior to the competition and perceived as such by clients and other influential third parties

- To maintain a clear overview of the overall resources required to conduct projects to the high standard required

- All work is carried out to the highest possible technical standard and in accordance with the agreed project plan, costs and timescales

- Provide direction to the greater team for training, regulatory and compliance development so that they progressively gain the necessary knowledge and skills required not only to improve short term performance but also to prepare them for future roles which are required by the company and satisfy their long-term career aspirations

- A culture of continuous improvement, continuous learning and self-development is proactively led and encouraged.

Our Senior Technical Manager will have the following skills and experience:

The Senior Technical Manager will have overall Technical responsibility for the P2O plants and will have the following qualifications and a minimum of 10 years' experience.

- Degree Qualified in engineering or applied chemistry

- Experience running a petrochemical plant or similar at management level

- Qualified in lean manufacturing or process optimisation, e.g., black belt in Six Sigma

- Good report writing and presentation skills

- Management of blue collar and technical personnel

- Good understanding of safety requirements.
