Our client, is a successful operator in the environmental energy sector, who has an opportunity to join them at their energy from waste processing plant as a Shift Manager to ensure the safe and effective operation of the plant. The Role
• As the Shift Manager you will primarily be responsible for the management and leadership of the engineering and environmental shift team operating the Energy Plant.
• As Shift Manager you will effectively lead the team to ensure the safe and effective operation of the energy plant, ensuring maximum waste throughout and electricity production.
• This is a Shift Manager Relief role and therefore you will provide flexibility to step in to lead different shift teams as and when needed and provide management support for out of management hours.
• As the Shift Manager you will manage and identify professional training opportunities for the shift team.
•As Shift Manager you will lead on providing compliance with quality and ensure environmental and safety procedures and systems are adhered to.
• As Shift Manager you will hold Senior Authorised Person status and ensure all site safety rules are followed.

The Successful Shift Manager

• The ideal Shift Manager - Relief will have a proven track record to lead and manage a shift.

• You will ideally have an HNC/HND in relevant engineering discipline or equivalent experience.

•Ideally the successful Shift Manager candidate will have experience working in either the energy from waste sector or other complex industrial sectors involving High and Low Voltage systems.

•You will hold Senior Authorised Person Status.

•You will have exemplary health and safety knowledge and preferably be NEBOSH qualified.

•The ideal candidate will be experienced working with High and Low Voltage.

•You will have excellent communication skills and the ability to work positively in a team environment.

•The ideal candidate will be a positive, solution focused individual
