Special Needs Teacher - Scunthorpe
Salary: GBP130 - GBP170 per day
Start Date: As soon as possible or September 2021
Location: Scunthorpe, North Lincolnshire

GSL Education Hull are seeking to employ a full time Special Needs Teacher for an Alternative Provision in Scunthorpe. You will be teaching students and young adults aged 12 to 25 years old with either an Education Health Care Plan (EHCP) or who are unable to access mainstream education.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Fully Qualified Teacher looking for a change, or a new challenge.

To be successful, you must:

Have UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
Be a passionate, enthusiastic educator and innovater
Be able to quickly engage and build rapport with pupils through creative learning
Be experienced within a Special Needs settings, having taught a number of subjects including Functional Skills and Key Stage 3 English and be comfortable teaching Physical Education as part of a blended timetable
Have strong behaviour management skills through teaching creatively and tailoring lesson plans to cater for individual needs
Have hands-on experience teaching young people with complex needs such as ASC, ADHD, SEMH, GDD or Attachment Issues
Be an understanding, committed and resilient educator
Be understanding that students will learn through indoor and outdoor activities and pupil progress will be monitored at all times
Have a sense of humour whilst consistently upholding a professional relationship with students and staff alike In return, GSL Education offer:
