Job Title: Community Support Leader (Day Ops)

Contract: Full Time

Hours: 39 hours

Salary: GBP30,753 per annum

Information: This role is shift work, (7am to 7pm) with some evenings and weekends required. Driver, full UK driving licence, is essential.

Aspire is part of the Thera Group of companies. Thera group consists of local not-for- profit companies supporting local people and is led by a charity.

Aspire was Established in 1987 to provide support to adults with learning disabilities in their own home, community and at work. Aspire now supports over 300 individuals in the following areas Herefordshire, Gloucestershire, South Gloucestershire, and Worcestershire. We are currently recruiting for a Community Support Leader to support our teams in and around Hereford.

What does a Community Support Leader do?

Aspire is recruiting a full time Community Support Leader to join our friendly team. This exciting role is essential in ensuring our staff teams are mentored, coached, supported and developed in a way to ensure the people we support realise their dreams and aspirations and are at the heart of everything we do in a person-centred environment.

This is a demanding role in a fast-paced environment, working with internal and external stakeholders to ensure CQC compliance is achieved. The duties of the role will also include

- Recruitment and Selection using a value-based approach

- Plan and develop support plans in a person-centred way

- Building great relationships

- Planning and strategy

What experience do I need?

- A Health and social care diploma, level 5 or equivalent (candidate must be prepared to undertake suitable qualifications).

- IT Skills to level ECDL or equivalent.

- Extensive direct staff management experience.

- At least 5 years of working with people with a learning disability and managing supervising the delivery of support.

- A wide range of positive experiences of working with families and carers.

- Excelent working knowledge of person-centred approaches and associated PCP tools.

- Work flexibly with the expectation to work evenings and weekends as required.
