Software developer
The Software Developer will be responsible for writing the code for several platforms created by the company in the Mass Transit Sector. Working with the Business Development manager to build solutions for the UK market, that will be accredited with the right accreditation bodies throughout the Transport sector.
The systems that need development will be both back end server solutions as well as front-line hardware and software solutions that interact with secure card platforms, as such the developer will need to work with Subject Matter Experts to gain an understanding of the low-level requirements to write code that will work for the applications being built.
Responsibilities
* Deliver and implement software solutions to deadlines while meeting required quality expectations
* Ensure Code Quality by following QA practices
* Work with Business requirements and designs for software development
* Write code
* Work through the backlog, bugs and technical debt to ensure working systems
Essential
* Extensive knowledge of Software development
* Strong knowledge of C#, VB.Net and SQL server
* Knowledge of SOAP and WCF webservices
* Good Communication Skills
Desirable
* Wider transport industry knowledge
* Agile processes
* Secure Development practices
* Comfortable with Modern working practices
