Adecco Sunderland are delighted to be working with a client based in Sunderland who are looking for a Key Account Manager to join them on a permanent basis.

This is a full-time role - 08:30 - 17:00 and the salary is dependent on experience.

The Purpose of the Role:

You will be required to lead/manage and develop a close working relationship with various key accounts, to ensure that customer requirements are determined /projected and executed to the highest standards.

You will have full P & L responsibility for client accounts and be fundamental in commercial decisions, responsible for protecting existing business and identifying upselling/cross selling opportunities to increase account profitability.

Facilitate internal resource to ensure clients expectations are met.

Responsibilities:

Build strong and positive relationships with clients at various levels, ensuring internal staff are involved as necessary
Build and document knowledge about the client's business and communicate internally
Develop new business revenue streams through extending range of products / services and / or penetration into customer's business.
Attend client meetings including regular structured formal review meetings, initiating where required, collating minutes and sharing information with Commercial Manager.
Produce detailed MI reports to the customer informed of progress/status and performance.
When appropriate take new product briefings from customers and be responsible for taking project briefs and overseeing any project work.
Resolve 'day to day' problems as an escalation point if required.
Manage Change Management process and assess commercial impact to provide appropriate pricing.
Review of stock product portfolios with the appropriate advice with a view to highlighting slow moving and non- moving stock items with the aim of minimising the risk of obsolete stock.

Essential:

Commercially astute and able to communicate reasoning behind pricing recommendations
Experience of pricing and process control.
You'll also need to be very confident dealing with other people in the business.
High level of mathematical skills
Must have strong analysis and analytical skills
High level of computer skills
The ability to learn and adapt to new systems
Excellent attention to detail
Manage and prioritise own workload on a daily basis
Ability to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines.
