Location: Derby
Salary: GBP30,000 - GBP35,000
My client is an privately owned electronics manufacturer who are now looking for an Azure DevOps Engineer to join their leading tech company dealing in contactless payment systems.
You will be responsible for underpinning good development processes including managing tools and testing environments, central code control, maintaining development standards and writing quality software that helps automates systems.
What you will be doing:
- Driving development, support and stability of our Azure estate surfacing 200+ clients
- Partner with our software engineers; helping them to build and release their software in an efficient way via CI/CD pipelines and support our dev and stage environments.
- Build adoption of an "automation mindset" to enable scalability and growth whilst mitigating risk and work with stakeholders to incorporate DevOps into the technology roadmap
- Manage our telemetry capability to support monitoring across the organisation
- Assisting with migrations, of databases to other production environments and of versions of software and libraries communicating with our device hardware
Essentials:
- Experience as a DevOps Engineer within a .NET development environment
- Cloud experience with Microsoft Azure stack
- PowerShell Scripting skills for automation of tasks, reporting and deployment
- Good knowledge of Continuous Integration, Automated Deployment or Configuration Management
- Familiar with Windows Server 2012/2012R2/2016/2019 and IIS
- Familiar with Microsoft SQL Server 2012/2014/2017
- Developing API's using logic apps, azure functions, and azure API-management
Desirable:
- Knowledge of Azure components including Azure Storage, Azure Key Vault, Logic Apps, Azure Automation, Azure Batch and Azure Service bus. C# and PowerShell
- Experience with cake (C# Make)
- Experience with database management including queries, triggers etc
