ROLE PURPOSE - To lead and support the development of the Company's Business Optimisation Proposition

The key areas of focus:

Drive the development and articulation of the Company's Business Optimisation offering which encompass

Business Process definition and optimisation supported by the relevant tooling and frameworks to maximise Business Efficiency.

Advisory and Subject Matter Expertise covering compliance to the ever-changing regulatory regime and the impact to Balance sheet and Business practices.

Risk and Control covering front-to-back risk Management frameworks encompassing all aspects of business and technology (three lines of defence). Use of Big data and analytics to support predictive forward-looking metrics.

Compliance Analysis Responsibilities:

Researching industry compliance regulations and policies.

Keeping abreast of regulatory changes and developments in the regulatory environment

Ability to evaluate operational and procedural compliance.

Developing and enacting regulatory compliance strategies

Performing compliance audits and compiling reports.

Reviewing documentation, processes, and practices.

Experience in updating existing compliance policies and related documentation.

Communicating compliance policies and guidelines to clients and designated departments.

Developing and executing new compliance policies and procedures as required by clients

Developing processes and frameworks for monitoring compliance and facilitating interventions to manage risks.

Training client employees on industry compliance requirements.

Keeping up with compliance requirements and amendments to regulations.

RiskAnalysisResponsibilities:

Experience in designing and implementing an overall risk management framework for clients which includes an analysis of the financial impact on the company Balance sheet.

Performing risk assessments based on the client's Risk Management framework and Risk appetite declaration.

Devise and implement risk reporting tailored to the relevant client audience.

Explaining the external risk posed by corporate governance to stakeholders.

Creating business continuity and Operational Resilience plans to limit risks.

Conducting policy and compliance audits, which will include liaising with internal and external auditors.

Building risk awareness framework and communication plan

Technology

Working across the technology department to analyse and better understand their risk profile.

Identifying and assessing the impact of technology risk on projects and Business as Usual activities

Defining a risk and control framework to use in conducting risk assessments.

Establishing a risk management governance framework

Risk committees and working groups.

Communication framework for Committees, including data-driven risk reports on the IT and cyber risk posture.

Design, implementation & communication of operational risk management policies & guidelines

Business Process Optimisation Responsibilities:

Apply business process modelling notations to various forms of documenting processes and process flows.

Facilitate process workshop involving liaising with client staff and process requirements.

Carry out measuring and monitoring, as well as provision of feedback on performance of business processes.

Lead the redesigned workshop processes.

Identify, detect, and create business processes towards accomplishing business goals specific for the client organisation.

Discern the difference between various steps and business processes recorded on various artefacts and standards.

Analyse business steps and processes to enable easy determination of their constituents.

Provide advice and execution of process optimisation, based on heuristic data and Subject Matter experience

Essential Experience and other Pre-requisites

Degree level academic qualifications

Advanced analytical abilities.

Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.

Client focussed with exceptional ability to liaise with Clients at all levels.

Structured in approach and able to deliver on client commitments and changing requirements.

Minimum of 10 years of experience in the following fields gained in Financial Services

Compliance

Previous experience as a Compliance Analyst in a related field.

In-depth knowledge of industry compliance requirements and standards.

Exceptional ability to formulate compliance policies, procedures, and related documentation. Business Optimisation

Ability to discover and establish business process.

Ability to design, carry out analysis, and model business processes.

Skill for business process simulation and optimisation.

Ability to benchmark and analyse various business processes.

Risk Framework

Detailed understanding of Operational Risk frameworks and impact to business resilience

Ability to conduct analysis on controls and adherence to Risk frameworks.

Ability to provide feedback and resolution to control attestation issues.

Detailed appreciation of 3 lines of defence control frameworks.

Detailed understanding of regulatory requirements governing operational risk and control.

Ability to produce control policies and related frameworks to address Operational Risk.
