Assystem is recruiting for a Senior Stress Engineer to join our expanding stress team in Derby on a permanent basis.
This role will play a key part in the expansion of our operations in Derby and will be a vital role within project delivery.

Role Details:

Job title: Senior Stress Engineer
Location: Derby
Hours: 37 hours per week
Contract type: Permanent
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Provide integrity substantiation using Finite Element method and/or Code assessment
Assist in calculation reviews
Modelling experience
Adhere to Assystem quality system
Work to man-hour budgets for assigned tasks
If required, assist in proposal writing and other related bidding activities

What we are looking for in our next Senior Stress Engineer:

Degree or equivalent qualification and experience in an engineering discipline
Experience in using FEA tools such as ABAQUS
Experience in ASME B&PCV and R6 Fracture Assessments
Experience in the nuclear industry is preferable
Knowledge of other disciplines ideally mechanical engineering
Proven track record in producing design substantiation analysis and stress assessments
