A local passion, a national reach

Kier Group is one of the Top 3 Utility providers here in the UK- helping to connect, heat and power the country. Our sector expertise stretches across Telecoms, Gas and Water, working with emerging technologies to the most exacting standards of safety and quality. What does it take to join this team that keeps water running for over 15 million homes and businesses, maintaining 65km of gas pipes and installing one million metres of fibre optic cable every year? It takes people like you.

This is an exciting opportunity to join Kier Utilities, working in partnership with Anglian Water and Clancy Docwra within the Utility Drawings team.

Utility Drawing is at the heart of our operations. As Utility Drawings Administrator, you will be producing utility drawings, whilst crucially meeting key business performance targets and ensuring excellent customer service. You'll need to be a point of contact for gangs onsite via phone and email, who are having issues with plans and you will be dealing with them as necessary (investigate, redo or re-upload plans as needed).

This position requires regular participation in a standby rota, which includes nights and weekends. You wouldn't need to be actively working, but available on the phone with immediate access to your computer.

What do we need from you?

The role is home based, with occasional travel to your local office in Sproughton for office meetings and training, so this must be commutable. It is essential you are able to work from home with a reliable internet connection with a good speed so you are able to answer phone calls when on standby.

Additionally, you will hold excellent IT skills, attention to detail and communication skills. Previous experience in a fast-paced role along with strong prioritisation and decision-making skills will stand you in great stead to be successful for the role.

What will you receive?

You can expect a competitive salary and an outstanding package that includes a matched pension scheme up to 7.5%, 26 days' annual leave (with the opportunity to buy or sell holiday), two employee Share Scheme options, together with additional valuable benefits such as:

Free Life Assurance
Employee Assistance Programme
Access to Kier Rewards, our exclusive Discount Shopping Site with deals available at over 800 retailers
Plus, many more benefits geared to your wellbeing

Pre-employment checks

It's worth remembering that if you are successful, we'll undertake the relevant / standard pre-employment checks after you have been offered a job. This includes taking up your references, verifying your right to work in the UK, verifying your driving licence (if applicable) and a health assessment. Some roles may also be subject to further pre-employment checks.

Make the journey. Leave a legacy.

Being part of Kier means living our values of being Collaborative, Trusted and Focused. We all have the potential to shape our world, and it's through these values that we will leave a lasting legacy. Bring your talent and ambition to Kier and you will be given the scope and opportunity to invest in your own future, to build your expertise and contribute to a rich and diverse culture.
