Building Safety Manager - London

GBP52,000 per annum

An exciting and forward thinking London based Housing Association are looking to recruit and Building Safety Manager. This purpose of this role is to:

To look after the day-to-day management of fire and structural safety across all residential buildings within the scope of the Building Safety Bill and establish a clear point of contact for residents for fire and safety related issues.
To fulfil the Association's obligations for a Named Individual Building Safety Manager and provide assurance for our residents.
To promote building safety and the safety of people in and about the buildings within the organisation.

In order to be considered for this role you must have:

?? Diploma in Building Safety Management - desirable (or working or willing to work towards)

?? NEBOSH - Fire Safety / Risk Management - certificate / diploma desirable or relevant and demonstrable professional experience

?? Experience of applying relevant Fire Safety and general building safety principles and practices across a similar range of residential property types and structures.

?? Strong compliance background including maintenance and implementation of systems, record-keeping and process management.

?? Proven experience of building strong and collaborative relationships with residential tenants and a wider group of stakeholders

?? Awareness of relevant principles and technical standards for building safety

?? Detailed knowledge of current legislation, regulations, statutory guidance, standards of performance and how these overlap in coordinating safety in our buildings and how these could affect residents and occupants.

?? Understanding of importance of accurate records and the ability to maintain and update data logging, numeric and photographic records

?? Empathy for and understanding of the communities living in and around the association's portfolio of residential property.
