We are recruiting for a leading fresh produce business based in Essex. Due to their ongoing success and growth they have recently restructured the team and a fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Production Manager to join their busy site and manage the production.
We are looking for a motivated, resilient and dynamic person who is a people orientated person. You must be comfortable with machinery and IT packages especially as they are currently rolling out a comprehensive new ERP solution, which is focused on streamlining packhouse operations.
As Production Manager, you will have varying responsibilities ranging from overseeing production, packing, logistics, stock control and despatch, therefore they are really looking for an all-rounder who is a hands-on manager and isn't afraid to help wherever they are needed. It is essential in this role that the Production Manager can work effectively to tight deadlines, able to plan ahead and offer excellent customer service.
Experience within the fresh produce sector is essential and fruit expertise desirable. With short shelf life, delicate and perishable fresh produce, the applicant needs to be prepared for weekend working and be able to manage a high level of unpredictability, due to demand, weather and crop pressures
