A Residential Support Worker Needed for permanent part-time role in Torbay!

Are you experienced working as a Residential Support worker with vulnerable children and young vulnerable adults?

Do you hold a Child Care NVQ, BTEC or CACHE?

Do you have experience with working one to one with children young adults with Special Needs in a mentoring role?

A dedicated Residential Support Worker is needed for a permanent part-time role in Torbay, to assist children and young adults with a range of Special Educational Needs and Disabilities in a purpose-built service catering for children and young adults up to 21 years old with complex needs, medical needs, physical disabilities, PMLD and epilepsy.

Shift patterns are 5 days per week working from 7am - 10am assisting with morning routines, getting service users up and ready for the day and transferring them to local schools. You will be working 1:1 and 2:1 with students to promote independence, dignity and inclusion, supporting with all daily morning tasks.

This is a 15 hour per week contract and will suit someone looking for a generous rate of pay and a great work/life balance. You will be working for a superb team of experts and gaining the utmost job satisfaction!

The ideal Residential Support Worker will need to have:

Previous experience within a SEND school or residential care environment
A patient and caring approach when providing all aspects of care
Experience in one to one support to encourage independence and raising self-esteem
Be comfortable with providing personal care to children and young adults, including washing, dressing, toileting and feeding
Respect privacy and dignity always
