Our prestigious client based in Newcastle under Lyme is seeking an experienced Payroll Manager on a temporary basis for 7 months. You will be working from home due to the current pandemic and will be given all relevant equipment to facilitate this. Interested candidates must be available to interview asap with a view to commencing the role from mid/late March 2021.

Job Description:

You will be responsible for the accurate and timely processing of payroll for the company, with one Payroll Assistant reporting to you. Duties will include:

Processing payroll for 450 employees, mainly monthly paid salaried staff although there are a small number of temporary staff on timesheets
Processing new starters and leavers
Calculating SSP, SMP etc
Maintaining up to date payroll information including implementation of statutory notices such as PAYE codes and attachments of earnings
Processing pension contributions
Prepare payroll and pension journals for month end reporting
Complete P11D'sCandidate requirements for the Payroll Manager position:

Previous experience in a similar Payroll Manager / Supervisor / Team Leader / Senior Payroll position
Excellent communication style to effectively liaise with multiple departments including finance and HR
The ability to build effective working relationships
Impeccable attention to detailHours: Monday to Friday, 9.00am - 5.00pm

Salary: Circa GBP25k per annum
