Role Overview
Our client have recently been successful in being appointed to a range of the Environment Agency's national frameworks, including extensive work under the Collaborative Delivery Framework (CDF). They are looking for enthusiastic, experienced Technicians in both 2D and 3D CAD to support their engineering teams.
As a Technician you would provide technical support to their coastal, maritime, structural, and fluvial engineering teams, developing engineering design drawings and models on a variety of projects from concept development through to detailed design.
Qualifications and experience
The right candidate will be:
organised and able to balance competing priorities;
a pragmatic thinker and solution finder;
a self-starter, who manages own workload and that of a wider team;
an excellent communicator.Who we are looking for:
The role would be ideally suited to a technician with significant experience working in a civil engineering design office and preferably hold a HNC/HND (or equivalent) in Civil Engineering.
We are looking for someone who is:
proficient in the use of 2D Autodesk drafting packages (e.g. AutoCAD);
proficient in the use of 3D Autodesk design software, in particular in Civil 3D and Revit;
has a working knowledge of BIM and its application within civil engineering;
is a methodical worker with a great eye for detail; and
has experience working in a civil engineering design office.It would also be advantageous to have:
understanding and working use of ISO19650/BS 1192:2007
collaborative production of architectural, engineering and construction information;
knowledge in Microsoft Office packages;
