Job Title: Design Manager / Senior Designer
Location: Cheshire
Salary: Up to GBP50k + Benefits
The Client
Our client is a leading commercial glazing specialist business and they are looking to add a Design Manager or Senior Designer from the industry to their team.
The Role
Following continued growth and the expansion throughout the UK and internationally our client are seeking a Design Manager to manage the design office. The candidate will be tasked with the effective delivery of the project design for all the company's products.
The role will require:
* Excellent working knowledge of AutoCAD 2010 or above
* Excellent working knowledge and experience in curtain walling systems
* Min 5 years drawing experience in detailing of aluminium curtain walling & 2 years' experience leading projects.
* Ability to manage a team and help develop others in areas of technical difficulty.
* An understanding and awareness of CDM in relation to Design
* Experienced in producing Fabrication/detailed drawings
* Positive personality, driven and self-motivated
* Excellent communication and coordination skills
* Ability to work to deadlines and programmes.
Desired Qualifications
* Minimum C grades in Maths, English & Science (GCSE)
* SMSTS/IOSH or similar
* Further education preferably in Construction ie BSc Hons
Personal Qualities
* Candidates should have a professional attitude and approach to work, be organised and punctual
* Good communication skills
* Asbestos Awareness
