Lusona Consultancy are working exclusively with the Centre of Expertise for the Higher Education Sector and they are looking to recruit a Procurement Manager who will head up an established procurement team and lead the delivery of procurement services across the Institution.
Responsibilities of the role will include;
* Establish & Maintain the Procurement Strategy and the annual Procurement Report
* Develop the Procurement Team with supportive training and mentoring
* Undertake and oversee Contract & Supplier management in partnership with stakeholders
* Build up a network of key Stakeholders within the Institution
* Undertake appropriate spend analysis activity and manage tendering of specific supplies/services
* Undertake / oversee (as appropriate) Contract & Supplier management in partnership with stakeholders across Abertay.
* Plan and deliver focussed procurement awareness training to teams across the Institution
* Provide the key link between the Institution and the collaborative procurement team to facilitating the implementation of suitable framework agreements
Knowledge and experience required for the role;
* Previous experience of working in Senior Procurement role within a Public Sector organisation
* Strong leadership skills with the ability to drive performance and develop successful teams
* Excellent stakeholder skills
* Significant EU & PRA procurement legislation experience
* Customer-centric approach
* Good level of commercial acumen.
* Strong understanding of sustainability / responsible procurement issues
This role will require the successful applicant to be based on site 2 days per week so candidates will be considered with a reasonable commute to Dundee
