We provide homes and services to over 16,000 people across Greater Manchester and have big plans to build more over the next five year. Remaining compliant is key to this and we are looking for someone to help us do this.

We need someone who can assist with ensuring the Association’s Housing stock is legally compliant, who will take pride in pro-actively managing the Association’s Housing fire safety management system(s) & coordinate resources. Someone who will take responsibility for enabling a ‘safety first’ culture of continual improvement of fire safety procedures & systems.

With the assistance of the Fire Safety Manager, you’ll undertake and review Fire risk assessments, to ensure consistency and accuracy, taking the necessary actions to ensure a ‘speedy’ response to risk actions identified and monitor outcomes

We’re looking for someone with solid IT abilities, who can obtain performance information through effective use of IT reporting systems. Ideally someone who has worked in a similar role.

This role would suit someone who is keen to learn and enjoys challenges and researching legislation.

Please note the ability to drive and have access to a car is essential.

Irwell Valley Homes is a great place to work! We work in an agile way, pay good salaries, offer a great range of benefits and support colleagues to learn and grow, because we want to attract and retain the very best people to help us serve our customers.

The development opportunity we’re offering:

  • Paid training to achieve NEBOSH National General Certificate in Health and Safety
  • Paid training to achieve NEBOSH Fire Safety and Risk Management Certificate
  • Unique opportunity to learn and develop in fire safety, with salary increases and promotion, when knowledge and experience progresses.
  • Interesting and varied role working in conjunction with Fire Safety Manager on major projects.

So if you have great Interpersonal skills for liaising with colleagues and customers and experience providing a high standard of customer care and service - we’d love you to join our team!
