Immediate need for a Communications Specialist - Interim with potential to go permanent

Description

My client is seeking an experienced and skilled communications specialist, with a proven track record of delivering successful communications, engagement and public relations activities.

The successful candidate will be strong writer - use of the English language must be impeccable, and adept in communicating and developing messaging and materials appropriate to both the audience and the channels you are using. There is also a requirement to put together strategic Communication plans tailored to the clients' needs, support them with the delivery of this.

PR management, including identifying opportunities, drafting press statements and developing social media messaging
Media management and handling, including engaging with journalists to promote news, responding to media enquiries and chaperoning
Supporting provision of an effective client press office function
Crisis and issues management
Briefing spokespeople, providing guidance on media handling and contributing to media training activities
Stakeholder management and development
Developing content, writing, collating and editing newsletters and other written communications
Reputation management, development and safeguarding
Developing case studies, including seeking out opportunities and undertaking relevant interviews, e.g. with staff and customers
Managing and supporting events, focus groups and other engagement activities
Measuring and monitoring the effectiveness of all activities, including contributing to client updates and other reports
Campaign and project development, management, delivery and evaluation
Supporting the undertaking of research, insight and evaluation Profile

Team player - someone who is particularly strong at influencing and developing stakeholder relationships at varying levels
Proactive and able to work effectively under pressure
Excellent communication skills
Strategic outlook but with the ability to also deliver Job Offer

Interim contract - Immediate start

Remote based initially, with then a few days of travel to the office once safe to do so - Midlands based offices
