This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking for a challenging role within their finance/accounting career. You will be joining a medium sized business and they require someone who is flexible, enjoys a wide range of day to day activities and a busy fast paced environment.
The Assistant Accountant will be responsible for a range of accounting activities including sales and purchase ledger, bank and cash reconciliations, month end and payroll.
Responsibilities:
* Sales and Purchase ledger activities
* Bank and cash reconciliation
* Update and maintain stock sheets
* Compile monthly and year end reports
* Payroll, checking hours and recording annual leave and sickness
* Provide support to other managers
* Supporting the shipping and sales team
Candidates must have a background in a similar accounting/finance role, preferably with some supervisory experience. You will be highly organised with strong attention to detail. In addition you will have experience using Sage Accounting Software (or similar) as well as Microsoft Office.
