The Whitechapel Centre is working in partnership with Mersey Care, We Are With You and Liverpool City Council to provide targeted, multi-disciplinary support to people who are homeless or at risk of homelessness and have a history of substance use. This is an exciting opportunity to join a newly expanded multi-disciplinary team to engage with vulnerable, homeless people, providing intensive support to enable people to build self-confidence and develop independent living skills and supporting them to address substance use or other health and wellbeing issues. You will help people to access and sustain accommodation, along with social and community networks, training, education and employment.
Working within the Liverpool area, as part of our wider services for rough sleepers, your role will involve reaching out to provide intensive support to people who are rough sleeping or risk of homelessness.
You will need experience of working in a homelessness, housing or support setting, first class assessment and support planning skills, a good working knowledge of local housing, support and treatment agencies, welfare rights and related legislation and the passion and persistence to combine these to make a real difference to the lives of some of our hardest to reach clients.
