Adecco are proud to be recruiting on behalf of Cheshire Constabulary for a Payroll & Pensions Lead to join their HR team in ensuring compliance with legislation and effective provision of pay and pension services.
The ideal candidate will have local government pension knowledge and experience.
The purpose of the role is to liaise with the transactional payroll team to ensure all payroll functions are carried out in line with the force and HMRC rules and legislation.
As a payroll expert, you will be key in ensuring that KPI and performance measures are met, investigating discrepancies and making recommendations for correction and compliance, and that changes and updates are implemented correctly. You will be a point of escalation for pay and pension queries, and take the lead in investigation pension grievances.
Experience Required:
Significant payroll and pension experience
Experience working in a large company environment - ideally public sector
Able to work within complex regulatory frameworks
Local government pension experience
The post is a Fixed Term Contract working directly for Cheshire Constabulary, Monday to Friday, 37 hours per week with a competitive starting salary is GBP37281per annum with possible negotiation. Based in the Cheshire Constabulary HQ, you will have access to on-site parking, staff canteen and sports facilities, and police benefits.
